​Project Overview

Renew Podiatry is a concept website redesign created to demonstrate how thoughtful UX design and modern visual communication can improve a healthcare practice’s digital presence.

 

The redesign focuses on creating a more welcoming patient experience, strengthening trust, improving service discovery, and encouraging appointment requests through a clean, accessible, conversion-focused website.

The Challenge

The existing website contained valuable information but presented several opportunities for improvement.

Patients often make healthcare decisions quickly, so the website needed to:

  • Communicate professionalism immediately

  • Make services easier to understand

  • Improve navigation

  • Simplify appointment scheduling

  • Build trust through better visual hierarchy

  • Provide a more polished mobile experience

Strategy and Approach

1. Patient-First Experience

The redesign places patient needs at the center of every interaction.

Navigation was simplified to reduce friction and help visitors quickly find treatments, providers, and appointment information.

2. Trust Through Design

Healthcare websites must establish credibility immediately.

The redesign uses:

  • clean spacing

  • modern typography

  • calming colors

  • professional imagery

  • consistent layouts to create a reassuring patient experience.

3. Clear Service Organization

Treatments were grouped into logical categories instead of lengthy lists.

This helps patients quickly understand:

  • what conditions are treated

  • available procedures

  • where to schedule care

4. Strong Calls-to-Action

Appointment scheduling was prioritized throughout the website.

Primary CTAs were strategically placed to encourage users to:

  • Request Appointments

  • Contact the Office

  • Learn More

without interrupting the browsing experience.

5. Responsive Design

Every page was designed to adapt seamlessly across:

  • Desktop

  • Tablet

  • Mobile

ensuring a consistent experience regardless of device.​

Key Design Decisions

Clear Visual Hierarchy

Large headlines and organized sections guide patients naturally through the website.

Accessible Navigation

Simplified menus improve discoverability while reducing cognitive load.

Healthcare-Focused Color Palette

Professional blues, whites, and subtle accent colors reinforce cleanliness, trust, and care.

 

Educational Content Layout

Conditions, treatments, and physician information are presented in an approachable, easy-to-scan format.

Reusable Components

Cards, buttons, service sections, testimonials, and call-to-action blocks were designed as reusable UI components to support future expansion.

Project Outcome

Because this is a redesign concept, no live analytics are available.

The intended improvements include:

  • Stronger patient trust

  • Better first impressions

  • Easier navigation

  • Improved service discovery

  • More appointment opportunities

  • Cleaner mobile experience

  • More professional digital presence

What This Project Demonstrates

This project showcases my ability to design healthcare experiences that balance user needs with business goals.

Rather than creating a visually appealing website alone, I focused on improving the entire patient journey—from the first homepage visit to scheduling an appointment—using UX strategy, thoughtful content organization, responsive design, and conversion-focused interface design.
